(1) In carrying out its work in accordance with the Act, the Commission may do the following:- (a) To conduct or conduct necessary programs for the economic, social, cultural, educational and community upliftment of the Tharu community,
(b) To conduct or conduct programs necessary for the rights, interests, protection, promotion and empowerment of the Tharu community,
(c) To coordinate with national and international associations and organize programs related to their work (d) _ To protect and promote the rights and interests of the Tharu community, to protect the traditions and culture of the community and to do the necessary work for their timely development,
(e) To carry out programs for the purpose of ending all forms of discrimination related to the Tharu community,
(f) To conduct or conduct awareness programs for the end of corruption and malpractice within the Tharu community.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the commission shall not cause any action to disturb social harmony while performing its duties.
(3) If the Commission has to conduct any program in coordination and cooperation with international donor agencies, it will be done with the consent and coordination of the Government of Nepal.
